Experience Is Everything

I’ve been in the roofing business for 24 years. Everything began when I responded to a help-wanted ad from Farmers Insurance.

They needed adjusters and offered to send me to school to learn everything there was about the roofing business. After what seemed like forever, I graduated and got to work.

I appreciated the job, but didn’t like the work one bit. My problem wasn’t with the roofs or the people, it was with the politics. 

My bosses expected me to deny claims that I thought were justified. Soon, I learned the strange games insurance companies play with their customers, and I didn’t want anything to do with them.

I saved and saved for years so I could start my own roofing business and do things the right way. After a health scare and a few operations on my liver, I was ready.

That was 11 years ago, and we’ve been growing every year.

My experience in the insurance business has really helped me work with other adjusters and get claims approved fast. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been able to get things done with insurance companies after other roofers gave up.

With 1200 roofs under our belt, my crews have seen it all, fixed it all, and left behind a trail of happy customers. A lot of our new business comes from customers telling their friends and neighbors about us, and that’s better than a flashy website or coupon.

One of the things I’m most proud of is our results. Every year we grow, and every year the team gets stronger and stronger.
